Hello!
This is my first ever blog post using Neocities, please bear with me while I get a grasp on using this website! HTML code is quite confusing for my simple brain, but I’d like to be able to start blogging in a space that I can control more freely. The last time I had a Tamagotchi blog was back in 2020 using Wix. When I went on it today to look into blogging again, it stated that I used up all of my free storage space, and the cheapest subscription was $17 a month for 2GB. For comparison Neocities is 50GB for $5/month. Wix is a rip-off! Even if it was easier to understand than HTML code, I’d rather do things the hard way and save money.
So, right now I am running two Tamagotchi’s: my Daisy Lovers RV3 and my White Stars V2. I guess I should talk a little bit about them, huh?
My Daisy Lovers RV3 is currently on its second generation. Her name is Lemon and she is unfortunately a Hidatchi. I know Hidatchi isn’t terrible, but I’ve just never cared for it. The face looks so bland and the tentacle things on the sides of its head are kinda gross. It’s… okay, I guess. She is 7 years old and was visited by the matchmaker today, but I didn’t pay enough attention to marry her off. I’ll try tomorrow. Hopefully I can marry her to a good tier Tamagotchi so that I can get a better character next generation. I don’t really have a goal with running the Daisy Lovers RV3, I just love the shell so much. One of my cats is named Daisy and I love her, and the shell also reminds me of Super Monkey Ball, so I really enjoy it. I guess if I had to come up with a goal I could try to get every character on the device? It’ll be hard and probably take forever, but ah well, I don’t mind.
My White Stars V2 is a boy named Aqua. He’s a Nikatchi teen, 2 years old, and 99lbs. I’ve been purposefully taking horrible care of him to try and get Whaletchi, as Whaletchi was the first Tamagotchi adult I ever got on any device way back in the day and I’d love to have a perma-Whaletchi on a device. I took such bad care of him today that he actually started dying at one point and I had to reset him to prevent that from happening. I worry that even if I take horrible care of him I won’t get Whaletchi, as there’s a 1:3 chance of getting Masktchi or Kiwitchi as well. I don’t know the exact time that he is set to evolve either, so if I’m not watching him like a hawk I won’t be able to do the reset roulette. I guess I could always try again if I don’t get Whaletchi, but that means I’d have to go through an even generation, then try my luck again on the 3rd generation. Well, let’s hope I can get him or press the reset button fast enough if it isn’t him.
I don't have a sprited growth chart for him yet, I need to work on that. Hopefully I only have to make the one! I want perma-Whaletchi pleaaase. ;w;
Today was an interesting day! I had seen in the Texas Tamagotchi Club discord server that people have been seeing the Oritama’s at Target for $5.99, speculating that this is due to old/dead stock that they’re trying to get rid of. I decided to stop by my local Target just to take a look, and sure enough they were $5.99! I don’t know if someone with Target messed up when pricing them but I am not complaining at all, haha. I picked out the Angel Lace Angelgotchi, Tama Café P1, Fresh Strawberry P2, and they had the Summer Stained Glass P2 as well!! It was the only one too! When I scanned the first shell at the self check out it didn’t register as an item and an employee had to come over to help me, she asked if I knew how much they were listed for and luckily I had a picture to show her, XD. I was worried she was going to pull it up and it would come up as $19.99 lol, but no it came up as $5.99!
I also have two Tamagotchi’s from eBay on the way. I wanted to get another V2 to have just in case, as I don’t have very many and Whaletchi means a lot to me. I went on eBay and ordered a shell that I THOUGHT was a V2, but it turns out it was the Green Matrix V1, oops… I don’t have many V1’s either though so I stuck with the order, haha. Then I found a Candy Rings V2 that I ordered, so both are on the way.
Lastly, the Jade Forest Tamagotchi Paradise was revealed yesterday! It was crazy exciting, and the characters are so so so cute. This Paradise seems to be very themed around China. They haven’t shown what the special evolution character looks like yet, so I’m curious to see what it’ll be. So far each special evolution character has been based off of a mythical creature; a dragon, mermaid, and unicorn, so I wonder what this special character will be? If they’re keeping with the Chinese theme then I would assume it would be a mythical creature from Chinese mythology, such as a Phoenix, Qilin, Pixiu, or maybe even a Chinese dragon, though I doubt they would do two dragon special characters. Either way, preorders went up yesterday and I was one of the very first ones to snag a preorder! They went down quickly like they always do but I was so quick with it, it says my order will arrive November 28th. I’m very excited! This reminds me that I need to check and make sure my Pink Land and Purple Sky shells work, they’re still in their boxes right now. I’ve played with my Blue Water shell quite a bit but then I started getting busier and kept letting it die… It still has the batteries in it but I haven’t started a new tama on it yet. I like the Paradise a lot but it’s pretty big so it’s hard to take it around places and keep it pristine. I like the size, don’t get me wrong, but it’s a little hard to take it to work every day. I dunno. X3
With all of this combined, I am currently at 256 V-Pets! I need to add a list of my collection to the site soon. HTML is hard work, luckily I have a programming friend who understands it more than I do, so I can go to them when I need help figuring something out. I had to go to them while writing this too, LOL. I couldn’t figure out how to center an image, or create a separate file on VSCode (what I’m using to code on) while keeping it connected to the main code. Ugh, it’s a struggle for sure but I’m happy that I’m learning! Anyways I think that’s all I have to say for now, hopefully I can keep up with blogging on here and get better at HTML code in the process. Wish me and my Tamas luck! :)
